Georgia Hickling
I am an exuberant performance designer and scenic artist with an interest in bright and bold design. During university, I have advanced my skills in technical programmes such as AutoCAD, Sketchup and Twin Motion. I have designed various speculative and realised performances, whilst also gaining experience in scenic art and design outside of university. In my final year, I designed a speculative concert for drag performer, Trixie Mattel. This design focused on the split between Trixie’s country roots and her 60s MOD aesthetic. I also worked with the NT Connections festival to design and realise set and costume for the surrealist show 'The Terrible, Terrible Past'. As an emerging designer, I would love to focus on creating performances with a unique perspective. I am particularly interested in creating visually work which is reflective of current cultural and political zeitgeists.
