During my final year of studying BA (Hons) Animation, I created my thesis film, Swan Song, which focuses on dreams, legacies, and family; much of the film was inspired by my own experiences. Developing this film cultivated my interest in 3D character and prop modelling, whilst also introducing an interest in directing. I further became interested in contextual and critical studies of animation during my study, which has shaped how I view both the consumption and production of media. I will be building on the knowledge and skills I have obtained by studying MA Animation here at NTU in September. I am excited to continue to further hone my skills and have already been inspired for a myriad of future projects, both creative and academic.
