Before coming to university I didn’t feel very confident with construction. After 3 years I have accumulated a variety of costumes I would’ve never imagined I could create. One of my new found interests is machine embroidery which I developed through my final project in Element 2. I would love to explore this further in industry level, it is a relaxing job that adds life to a garment. I also really enjoyed making and designing for a pantomime brief. The pantomime genre allows for a playful and wacky style of costuming which I had a lot of fun with. With my skills of fabric buying the fabric I chose really brought the design to life.
