Hello! My name is Lizzy Porter, or Beffy as I'm starting to go by in the art world, and I am a Nottingham-based illustrator with a background in fine art and design. I harbour a strong love for the mundane and seek to create images that enhance the subdued beauty found in the mundane. I enjoy the look of warm colours, retro patterns, and silly characters, and aspire to one day illustrate my own set of children's books. This selection of images showcases work from my 'A Good Person' project that I created as a homage to my Mother, showing the influence she has held over my identity as a result. I illustrated different anecdotes and stories that reflect our bond and presented them in a handmade planner, entirely reflective of my Mum's busy lifestyle as a teacher.
