I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Knitwear Design and Knitted Textiles student and winner of a Worshipful Company of Framework Knitters’ bursary. My 3 outfit collection entitled “AI-Eyes” is based on my collaboration with a text-to-image AI called Midjourney. I input text prompts, Midjourney creates images based on those prompts, I create art based off of those images and then I feed those images (sometimes alongside text prompts) back into Midjourney for further development. This way of working creates a continual cycle of creativity and an ongoing conversation between man and machine. I believe that collaboration with AI is the future. It will change everything. It is the internet of our time and can enhance our creativity if we are open to it. I’m passionate about using digital tools (such as AI, Clo3D and Shima Seiki SDS-ONE APEX) to revolutionize the fashion industry's future, making it more sustainable, inclusive and exciting. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
