Hi, I’m Amelie and I’m currently completing my BA Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University. I’m a mixed media artist that creates large-scale paintings that adopt the aesthetic of Japanese manga, combined with qualities of pop art and the automotive industry. I grew up surrounded by cars due to my father’s position as a racing driver and being heavily involved within the automotive industry. This is reflected within my work as I paint cars as my main subject matter alongside manga, which I use as a reflection of nostalgia for myself and others. Incorporating various mark making, text and bold colours helps my work come alive, transporting the viewers into another world, and allowing you to open doors to your imagination. I’ve exhibited my work at the Twitchel Gallery and The Organ Grinder, and I would like to continue exhibiting my work in many different galleries in the future. I am also available for commissions upon request through my social media.
