My work was inspired by the issue of 'appearance anxiety', aimed at resisting aesthetic standards under male gaze. In my graduate collection, I discuss women's disciplined bodies, celebrating the traces that time has left on women's bodies and treasuring those subtle and imperfect moments. Further, I introduced the aesthetic concept of wabi-sabi and studied the essential beauty that can be experienced in time within this concept. All this research further inspired me to develop nature dye fabrics using wilted plants to add a mottled, ephemeral and primitive aesthetic to my outfits. In the future, I hope to further explore the technology and development of natural dyeing and weaving.
