I am an artist who specialises in sculpture and performance, using sculptural techniques to create costumes, props and paintings. My art uses a pantheon of invented gods to create spaces of self-contained fantasy and through improvised dialogue I can create discomfort. Sketches and poetry provide the backbone of the work, building a narrative the audience will never fully see – a lore that informs the dialogue and attitudes of the demonic characters. Conversations with gallery attendants turn to dogmatic rants as devils prowl around a hung portrait of grinning phallus.
