My name is Shuangyuan Yang, and my MA Illustration portfolio mainly focuses on children's perspectives and social issues. After I carefully followed the recent news about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, I decided to make anti-war the theme of my portfolio. The story tells a story about the cruel process of war and the impact on children's hearts and bodies from the perspective of children's growth, and finally they face different endings after the war. Two of the boys grew up in different families with similar and different mindsets and upbringing. The story also contains reflections on the war, hoping that people will recognize the impact of the war on all sectors of society and people after the war. Through this story, the author hopes to appeal for peace and hope that adults can stand in the perspective of children and pay attention to the profound psychological problems brought by war to children.
