My work is heavily influenced by the landscape of my hometown Beijing in 2023 after the natural disaster floods. Natural disasters not only destroy the original life and order, but also bring about cultural stagnation and the freezing of memories. I began to think about what type of clothing could help survive in this harsh environment. In my work, I use dyes made from rusty water and natural dyes to show the effect of waste and damage, while natural dyes replace chemical dyes to achieve a certain degree of sustainability. I hope to continue design related work after graduation and try out different careers in the fashion field to give me a good foundation for my ultimate goal of being a stylist.
