I am Phoebe Eade, a textile design graduate with a specialism in and passion for weave. I am often inspired by nature, translating the atmosphere of natural spaces into comforting interiors fabrics. ‘Our Innate Connection to Nature’ explores nature’s influence on our mood and its ability to bring us both joy and peace. I use mainly lambswool and have explored double cloth figuring, fil coupé and other traditional weaving techniques, allowing me to play with colour and texture. This collection provokes fun and comfort, much like the spaces that inspired them. Throughout my final year, I have taken part in two competitions, set by Paul Vogel and SPINEXPO, which allowed me to explore more fashion outcomes and develop my check and jacquard designs. I was successful in both these competitions, resulting in trips to trade fairs in Paris and Shanghai which gave me great experiences within the textiles industry. I am currently seeking roles within woven fabric design and making.
