Nico Gratino

I am a romantic punk, navigating the world with a poetic sensibility and an innate connection to all things countercultural, independent, and queer. As a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion student, I’ve become a multidisciplinary visual communicator, intellectual thinker, and conceptual creative. Being proficient in transforming abstract ideas into innovative campaigns, for a diverse range of clients, has prepared me for industry. 35mm photography, graphic design, and independent publishing are my specialties. This combination of mediums and influences led me to create my own publication: Polari Zine. Polari’s queer community is a visual manifesto, denoting my love for archival aesthetics and themes of individualism, self-expression, and authenticity. As my time at university comes to an end, I am seeking the opportunity to work and collaborate with like-minded independent brands and creatives, particularly in the print and photography spheres.
