My name is Niamh Broder and I am print specialist textile designer who is passionate about digital art and fashion outcomes. ‘Rave Revival’ explores the history and emotions that came with 90s rave culture, with expressive art and bold hues. With inspiration from club flyer art, club scenes from the past and present, and the surrealist art movement, I have created designs that have a supernatural and euphoric aesthetic. Being drawn to bold colours throughout my time as a textile designer, rave revival allows the exploration of these neon hues without restriction, which is also empowered by the fluidity of placements. Creating one-off pieces as well as limited production items has enabled my vision of a more sustainable future in fashion, alongside wanting my collection to be desirable and timeless. Continuing my time as a fashion textile designer, I will work innovatively to ensure my designs are sustainable and unique to myself, my experiences and my style of art.
