My concept The Fallacy Of Flora explores a fanciful future in which all floral life has faded. Exploring flowers as speculated in this future based on knowledge lost and misinterpreted over time, my work takes inspiration from botanical illustrations, artists' depictions of mythology and historical ceramics. I have translated my floral motifs using various mediums including photography, paintings, collages, and AI generative tools. I am passionate about combining multidisciplinary techniques and bringing together digital and traditional approaches. This is showcased in my collection through the inclusion of a diverse range of processes including laser cutting, printing techniques, and a blend of digital and hand embroidery. My project has been designed for a S/S luxury fashion collection and brings in bright summer colours and luxury materials. I hope to continue to build on my embroidery and multidisciplinary skills as well as my experience designing textiles for fashion.
