I am a final year BA (Hons) Photography student; during my time at university, I have gained invaluable skills that have helped me confidently plan and undertake independent projects and have opened great job opportunities up for me. My current practice is documenting and exploring the journeys of women diagnosed with breast cancer, either on their journey or as a survivor. My photography-based brochure Jessica’s Story follows a young woman’s journey with breast cancer and sheds light into such a dark topic, both visually and in writing. After graduating, I hope to continue exploring this project and see how far I can take it, as well as enrol in an MA course and continue developing and expanding my skills as a creative.
