Future Fiction is a textiles concept collection inspired by past, present and future predictions of what our world will look like. It’s an imaginary future that revolves around blurred connections of virtual and reality, taking influence from the current transformation of fashion in the digital world and escapism from our own world problems. Samples follow three themes including: Digital Glitch, Dystopian Structure and Artificial Replicant. Expect to see glitch like gradients and acidic details in a range of scale and shape to show the vast development of technology, monotone collapse structures symbolic of what’s holding individuals back from a chance in our possible dystopian future, skin like materials with distorted finishes to capture the uncertainty of human touch in our lives. This collection encapsulates the fun explorative possibilities of the future, my own personal predictions.
