I am a 21 year old Lancashire based Illustrator aspiring to link my fine art - graphics background creating a crossover and combination of skills within my work. I am inspired by my surroundings creating a bridge into my life where art becomes my output. Waitressing over the past four summers has lead to influencing my growth as a person and inspiring a majority of my projects. Throughout my three year journey of illustration I have discovered a growing passion for exploring my experiences and personality as part of a project. My current study focuses on the complaint culture being part of the hospitality job and something you have to learn to deal with as it's just "part of the job". Testing this idea I designed a variety of complaint goblins that represented 'normal' and 'rude' looking people, focusing on their expressions. I decided to turn these customers into "part of the furniture" due to this apparent normality they have with being part of the job.
