I'm Marina, a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design student. As someone with a hearing impairment, my unique auditory perspective has shaped my perception of sound. Throughout my academic journey, I've emphasised the importance of mental well-being. My graduation collection is inspired by personal experiences of stress-induced hearing loss, highlighting cognitive auditory wellness. I aim to raise awareness of the silent solitude many endure due to hearing impairment. Addressing mental health, including cognitive and auditory health, is crucial to me. Through my creations, infused with intricate details, I seek to leverage visual art to raise awareness. Functional construction, pattern cutting, and garment production are my forte. I'm passionate about crafting apparel that boosts confidence. In the fashion industry, I aspire to assist inclusive designers in creating empowering garments.
