I am Lucy Smith, and from a young age I have always been motivated by art around me. Growing up in a creative family, this environment helped me progress into a scholarly pursuit of textile design. I found this passion flourished within the specialism of print. Using my illustration and painting skills, I developed within computer aided design which has since become my strongest skill. I find myself being very adaptive to a brief. I love the challenge of changing my design approaches depending on a demand. Because of this, my work varies from interiors to fashion with bright and floral to blunt and dark aesthetics making my style fluid however always illustrative. Work experience within menswear textiles solidified my career ambitions within the design industry. Ideally, I would like to work in a textile studio and eventually work for myself however, any part of the art and design industry interests me and therefore I would be willing to experiment with different departments.
