Lauren Revill

I am a graduating (BA) Fine Art student studying at NTU. Growing up in Nottingham I have backgrounds in theatre set design and building, photography, and painting. Throughout my time at university my practice has grown into the expression of my own experiences through sculptural installations. I find inspiration in my day-to-day, taking the most memorable or challenging emotions and transforming them into works of art. My work can differ vastly in display and appearance and so I tend to keep a common focus of a grey biomorphic character that serves as a human-ish figure and provides a base to the narrative of my work in both my physical and digital pieces. Although I do not limit myself to any one technique or medium, I enjoy forming my focus from biscuit-fired ceramics due to the mediums properties and the metaphorical idea that the character cannot turn back, but is not yet complete.
