Hiya! I am Kiki from Fashion and Creative Pattern Cutting MA. I have pursued my passion of creating cosplay costumes for 6 years and also studied knitwear design and fashion design in Hong Kong. But during these studying years, I found myself being interested in costume designing and making more than just focusing on fashion, especially the drag aesthetics and the meaning behind. This ignited my cooperation with a Nottingham-based trans drag performer, Cherry. This is a transformative outfit inspired by the 2-way tartan look of Drag Race superstar, Violet Chachki. Not only allowing me to enhance my pattern cutting, sewing and digital skills as a designer pattern cutter, this project also made me understand the needs of niche costume markets. I am excited to share my vision with you and hope it ignites your own sense of creativity and self-expression.
