I am a Photographic artist currently engaging in lifestyle documentary. My current project Where We Belong examines the idea of ‘the family home’ and documents the familial landscape and lived experience of the Morriss family. Situated on the edge of High Wycombe, the house and land infuse the ideas of childhood, family and belonging. Over 9 years my photographic practice has been growing to a point where I’m finally making the work I’ve always wanted to make and through the MA Photography programme it has been made possible. It has refined years of practice into informed processes. Learning the theory and methodology that was suitable at this time to bring such a project into fruition, and as a result, expanded my practice, and gave the project justice to what I hoped it would be. Going forward my work will continue to use the same informed practice to document and capture and contribute to the ongoing life and evidence the joys found in it.
