My name is Jake, I am a northern, neuro-diverse printmaker, illustrator and sound boy. I have so many different passions and I love trying to find ways to incorporate all of them in my illustrations. I’m passionate about using physical materials over digital art, loving to work with my hands in one way or another. Always trying to create evocative work, I love trying to play with my audience, to try and force people to question something they would be otherwise oblivious to. I have a deep love for poster illustration, typography and almost all types of relief printing, I am always trying and marry these with my other passions. I co-own and run a reggae and dub inspired sound system, being the key sound designer and box designer, I am passionate about using sound to spread my ideas and messages. It has also had a key impact on my illustrative practice over the past couple of years, helping to realise the impact and importance of illustrative practice in society.
