As a fashion designer and creative pattern cutter, my final project explores minimal and zero waste cutting techniques. Extensive research led me to kimono silhouettes, inspired by my long-standing admiration for Japanese culture. The oversized silhouettes and vibrant colors of kimonos guided my innovative approach to creating a minimal waste jacket, emphasizing sustainability. In addition to sustainable design, I embrace a maximalist approach to print design, believing that "more is more." For this project, I created prints inspired by the whimsical elements of “Alice in Wonderland.” My goal was to design powerful, oversized silhouettes adorned with playful prints and bows, capturing the movie's playful spirit.
