As a final year Fashion student, I have experimented with sustainable methods while delving deeply into the craft of pattern cutting and handcrafting. In my view, sustainability is a principle that has the power to influence fashion going forward, not merely a fad. I want to inject innovation and conscientiousness into everything in fashion through my enthusiasm for crafting and sustainability. Inspired by my love of diving, my final project, ‘Seabreeze’, seeks to highlight the beauty of the ocean and increase public awareness of its conservation. Even if we are able to safeguard marine life, we frequently fail to do so. For example, the production of textiles and chemical pollution have a major negative impact on the ocean. I try to show that fashion can be environmentally conscious by using sustainable techniques like natural dyeing.
