Harri Eccleston

My name is Harri Eccleston, I am an Illustrator and Designer from the Wirral. My practice focuses on children’s picture books, with exploration into feminist retellings of history and mythology. I am particularly interested in giving voices to unheard women of the past. This course gave me the opportunity to develop my practice through exploration of new mediums such as gouache and collage, neither of which I had used before. My children’s picture book Circe follows the myth of the Greek Goddess Circe, after her island, Aeaea, is invaded by outsiders. Following this course, I hope to continue to write and illustrate picture books, and to continue to develop my new skills and techniques.
