I am a final year Bachelor of Arts with Honours student majoring in Textile Design. My artistic practice revolves around the creation of a collection of soft, breathable, and environmentally friendly blankets, produced with zero waste. This collection aims to exude a comfortable lounge atmosphere and is specifically tailored for a niche market, including individuals on the autism spectrum, those who appreciate my artistic vision, and those who prioritise eco-friendliness. My objective is to take a firm stance against the detrimental effects of the fast fashion industry on our environment. Upon completion of my studies, my aspiration is to establish my own production company and pursue a career in writing and producing films that challenge societal perceptions of autism, emphasising the importance of considering individual sensitivities to colours and textures. Additionally, I intend to seek an internship position within a weave company to further enhance my skills and knowledge.
