As a Fashion Design student, I bring a wide range of transferable skills to this course. During my four years of undergraduate and graduate studies, I developed my knowledge of art history and theory, as well as my interpretation of art and aesthetics. I showed my ability to turn ideas into designs. In several classes on creative thinking, I also had the opportunity to be exposed to many works of art and their various representations in two or three dimensions. In addition, the organisation of fashion shows, market research and promotion are all important parts of my course, which has helped me build my management and operational skills. In particular, during my two years at Nottingham Trent University in the UK, I had the privilege of being exposed to a large number of innovative contemporary art exhibitions and independent gallerists. These experiences have broadened my horizons and prepared me well for the upcoming courses.
