As a Print specialist in textile design, my skills, style, and professionalism have evolved throughout my time as an undergraduate. Through my previous apprenticeship in modern upholstery, I discovered my love and passion for soft furnishing designs and development. The concept Perennial Paradise came to life because of my career within the hospitality sector: the realisation of the integral relationship between interior design and the identity of a business. This collection aims to create designs that allow a business’s aesthetic to stay in trend, creating its own unique brand essence, whilst giving consumers an immersive experience that compliments and enhances customer satisfaction. Through use of traditional and digital design techniques, my collection largely focuses on a maximalist approach, highlighting the beauty of tropical plants. I have avoided simple and muted designs that could progress from on trend to out of fashion, naturally enabling sustainable design thinking.
