I have recreated a landscape through memories, working both from memory itself and through sketches created out in the landscape. My paintings consist of gestural brushstrokes and rough mark making, using acrylic, oil pastel and charcoal. I love dripping, flicking, and layering paint, combining traditional art methods with digital photography. Heavily inspired by the romantic period, my practice portrays the beauty and vulnerability of our natural world.
