I am a BA (Hons) Design for Film and Television student. My previous study focused on developing abstract spaces through 3D design. During this course I have honed my skills in concept art, technical drawing, model-making, and prop-making, to support my career in the film and television industry. I have discovered a passion for developing atmosphere through lighting, composition, and colour, enjoying focusing on the details in the set dressing of my designs. These ideas are showcased through my concept art, developed across two projects based on book-to-screen adaptations: The Binding and Drearcliff Grange. Through my projects I wanted to capture a strong sense of mood, researching Victorian slum streets and classic gothic architecture to draw reference from. Additionally, developing a fantastical atmosphere through the lighting and selection of props shown in the visuals. Moving forward I would most like to continue my work in concept art but also have a great interest in prop making.
