Hi, I’m Flo, an innovative final year student who has embraced a multimedia approach for my collection. Being inspired by my brother, who in his early adult life was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, I was driven to advocate for social sustainability. His influence has shaped my design direction and acted as a motivating force throughout my final year, resulting in a user focused approach to design. Echoing the visual beauty of the Cornish coastline all through my designs allowed me to add additional personal strings to my collection. The tranquil shores and timeless allure have made Cornwall a place of serenity among life's chaos for all my family. Keeping an emphasis on tactility and vibrancy I have ventured beyond traditional boundaries, traversing disciplines to craft textiles that embrace the senses. My hope is for this collection to serve as a reminder of the transformative potential of design in a world that often overlooks the marginalised.
