Hello, my name is Esme (aka Beanz). I am an Artist and Illustrator passionate about print and traditional ways of drawing. I am excited about keeping print alive by combining digital and traditional methods of printing and image making. I love working in a tactile, playful, and experimental way, to create works intuitively, drawing upon a deeper meaning. Through my practice, I explore my own life experiences, more specifically my journey through life with Borderline Personality Disorder. I want to raise awareness of this condition in a joyful, bright, and colourful way, drawing attention to it in the way that I believe it deserves. I want to help contribute towards dissolving the stigma around BPD and helping others in some way. My creative style remains adaptable and versatile as I grow and develop on my creativity journey, leaving no room for limitations and more room for making!
