As a textiles designer, I specialise in print design, emphasising mark making and vibrant colour experimentation. My work draws inspiration from contemporary design, fashion, and art, particularly the creativity of David Bowie. Stardust offers digital and hand printed designs that pay homage to Bowie's style and ethos. By infusing his characteristics, iconic fashion, and performance strategies into my work, I aim to evoke emotion and inspire creativity through contemporary prints, promoting positivity. With a keen eye for colour, I create bespoke uplifting designs while contributing to sustainable manufacturing and reducing textile waste. Working to industry live briefs set by ‘Next’ & ‘Sainsbury’s TU’, I’ve gained valuable experience. I won a placement from the Next live brief which I completed in my Second year and achieved first prize for the Sainsbury’s TU Competition. I’ve also completed a fashion design internship at ERDEM. I am looking forward to sourcing further opportunities to work in design.
