I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design student. I love to be experimental and work with unconventional materials such as latex and silicone, with the ambition of creating wearable art pieces. I enjoy the trial and error of this process and it has moulded me into a resilient, dedicated designer. I’ve had the opportunity to work on various collaborative projects and pitch to industry experts with people from different backgrounds, developing my team and communication skills. My final year project reflects on my experience of sexual assault, intending to empower others and highlight the unseen internal pain felt after such a traumatic event, whilst also encouraging open conversation around the topic. I feel deeply passionate about making socio-political statements in my work, as I believe that this is the most powerful way to make global change. In the future, I dream of working in an environment which shares my values of designing to make a difference.
