My name is Ella Smart, and I am currently in my final year pursuing a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. Within my artistic journey, I am drawn to the creation of immersive experiences that seamlessly weave together sculpture and projected imagery. At the heart of my practice lies a profound exploration of the dynamic relationship between tangible physicality and intangible realms. Sculpture serves as my primary conduit for this exploration, offering me a tactile canvas upon which to experiment and express. Through the fusion of projected moving images with expansive plaster sculptures, my aim is to transcend the confines of traditional artistic mediums, offering viewers multi-dimensional encounters which provoke thought and emotion. I aspire to sustain and evolve my artistic practice by continuously crafting and expanding upon my sculptures.
