Ella Archer

I am a Fashion Designer studying at Nottingham Trent University. My design style is very experimental with fabric texture and form, creating unique tailored silhouettes. For my final major project, I have created a collection centred around the idea of transfiguration, conveying the exploration of personal metamorphosis, drawing inspiration from the transformative journey of self -discovery. The collection seeks to celebrate the beauty of change and the courage it takes to undergo a personal transfiguration, resonating with those who have embraced the transformative journey within themselves. Experimenting with the themes of emergence and breaking free, I have used different fabrics and techniques such as a type of hand smocking to symbolise the unfolding wings of self-realisation. I won the 2024 Untagged Competition and my upcycled denim outfit will be showcased on a stand during Graduate Fashion Week. I am a passionate and excited designer who is keen learn new skills and take on new opportunities.
