Hello, my name is Ebru and I am a final year Textile Design Student specialising in embroidery. For my final year collection, Opulence in Excess, I wanted to invoke feelings of lavishness through fruits and floral imagery, similar to that seen in mythology and still life paintings. I was inspired by designers such as Alexander McQueen and Miss Sohee as well as my trips to Kew Garden and Kensington Palace. I believe Opulence in Excess boasts botanical forms that are both elegant and tactile for a couture womenswear market level. Driven by a love of hand embroidery and embellishment, I enjoy creating different textures and finishings. I look forward to future opportunities in textile design.
