I am an MA Fashion Knitwear student who came to Nottingham to study Knitwear. My BA major was Fashion Design which I studied for four years in China. Here I developed skills in establishing design ideas, painting paper pattern, choosing fabrics and using a sewing machine. After that I can design and complete a dress on my own. During my course I have established a passionate pursuit and love for design, which has also become the motivation for my further study in the future. After I accidentally learned about the field of knitwear, I began to subdivide my future career development direction. After having a certain understanding of knitwear, I determined my next stage of learning direction. I gave up the direction of conventional fashion design, which I was better at, chose a new design field and continued to learn. I will keep my strong curiosity and spirit of inquiry and continue to study in the field of knitwear.
