I am Trammie Cheuk Yin Ip, a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design student. Through my final year project, I focused on women and menswear by challenging genderfluid and comfort. My collection assembled ideas of cultural diversity from my own background growing up in Hong Kong, alongside using sensory and accessible design, supporting mental wellbeing. My idea sparks from one of my darkest times back in Hong Kong. Since then, I have been trying my best to take care of not only myself but also the mental health of the people around me. I have always believed that fashion is something more than just clothes, deny it or not, people gain happiness by wearing nice clothes occasionally. By taking the Human Centred Design credit, I learned how clothes could affect someone’s daily life and how hard fitted clothes could be found for some people. My enthusiasm toward mental health care, alongside self-expression, evolved into clothes that comfort people with different special needs.
