Hi, I'm Charis, I specialise in embroidery, with a passion for sustainable design and a multi-disciplinary approach. My collection, Glacial Whispers, draws inspiration from the captivating beauty of Iceland's natural landscapes. It's tailored for vibrant Nordic hotel lobbies, aiming to bring the essence of Iceland's unique environment into interior spaces. Utilising biomaterials, including grown crystals and bioplastics, I aim to capture the mesmerising colours of the Northern Lights, bringing their ethereal glow into the spaces I design. The collection is divided into two distinct themes. One half draws inspiration from the celestial dance of the Aurora Borealis, capturing its enchanting presence in the sky. The other half is driven by the crystallised formations found in glaciers, reflecting their fragility and beauty. Sustainability is key for Glacial Whispers. With the looming threat of global warming and the rapid melting of glaciers, I aim to raise awareness through my work.
