Alice Enderby

I'm an MA Pattern Cutting student at Nottingham Trent University. My studies encompass a deep dive into pattern-cutting methodologies and cutting-edge advancements in fashion design, including CAD technologies. I'm passionate about integrating traditional and historical pattern cutting techniques and human creativity with the latest technological innovations to push the boundaries of design and creation. My project is titled 'Modernizing Vintage,' where I aim to bring together the best of the old and the new by harmonising the essence of classic styles and craftsmanship with contemporary innovations. My vision is to craft timeless dresses that seamlessly blend the past with the present, making garments that could have graced wardrobes half a century ago and still hold relevance in the fashion landscape fifty years into the future. Rooted in the philosophy of slow fashion, my creative approach emphasises responsible practices, sustainability, and a commitment to ethical production.
