I am a print textile specialist who has a strong interest in combining maximalist design with Political Activism within the field of Textiles. The Garland of Bloom is a celebration of the LGBT+ community through texture, pattern and muted colours. Using a combination of traditional print techniques and digital design, the collection is inspired by different types of floral elements as they bloom and illustrative figures. The Garland of Bloom will primarily focus on exaggerated avant-garde silhouettes and creating Drag garments specifically for stage wear and runway, aiming to support acceptance within the self to further bring about innovation and a sense of connection. During my degree I have found a love for combining hand and digital design for both interiors and fashion. I also have a strong eye for colour and love to experiment to create innovative designs. I am now looking forward to opportunities of working professionally in design.
