Abigail Oldfield

I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion student. Within my practice, I love to explore a multitude of narratives. I do this through sharing stories and perspectives through trend analysis and writing. My self-devised project 'Being a Teenage Girl in Your Twenties' intertwines themes of identity with global and cultural influences. In my second year, I studied for a semester abroad in Melbourne – the cultural capital of Australia, which fuelled this passion. I gained a real-life perspective of trend cycles, and their influences, outside of my cultural sphere. Analysing behaviours, trends, and a passion for storytelling are at the heart of my creative journey and I can’t wait to merge these passions post-graduation. Right now, I collaborate with other FCP students; running our course Instagram page and spotlighting students, highlighting their work and stories.
